Georges St-Pierre’s UFC Comeback Is Still Undefined
Fans obviously hope to see Georges St-Pierre back inside the Octagon. Will the Canadian mixed martial artist get the itch to fight again? St-Pierre's coach Firas Zahabi has said that he is unsure about when the Canadian mixed martial artist will return to competition in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
According to Zahabi, he and St-Pierre never really discuss the Canadian's potential comeback in the UFC. Zahabi tells St-Pierre that he often gets asked about when he will fight again, but still he gets no definitive answer.
"I think we both just know that there is no answer until he gets back in the gym, in his routine, and sees if he wants to continue," Zahabi told ESPN.com
Zahabi thinks St-Pierre still has got a few fights left in his mixed martial arts career, but only St-Pierre can decide whether or not he will fight again in the octagon ring.
"He might retire and no one could blame him," Zahabi added.
St-Pierre has reportedly gone back to training. He has been given medical clearance to continue working out after the injury he suffered in March.
Meanwhile, St-Pierre seemed to be enjoying and making the most of his time off the sport. He just starred in the movie "Captain America: The Winter Soldier," where he played the character of "Batroc the Leaper." He is reportedly going to be part of the remake of Jean-Claude Van Damme's classic action flick "Kickboxer" along with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) star Dave Batista. Little details were announced about St-Pierre's latest movie project, and more information are likely to be revealed in the future. The movie is expected to be distributed by 2015. It will be a big question if St-Pierre's burgeoning Hollywood career will further delay his comeback in the UFC.
St-Pierre also maintains his presence on social media and keeps his fans updated of what he is up to, if he's training or simply having fun, while he is absent from the octagon ring. He recently shared a picture of him with grappling legends Roger Gracie and Braulio Estima to his 1 million followers on Twitter.
