Germany and Ghana will try to rekindle their World Cup rivalry, as the two highly-talented football nations meet again on Saturday (20:00 Brazil/5:00 Sydney) at Estadio Castelao in Fortaleza in Brazil.

What's at Stake?

*For Germany, another three points would guarantee them a spot in the knockout stages of the World Cup. The Germans completely demolished the Crisitiano Ronaldo-led Portugal in the opener, and they looked for an encore performance against a desperate Ghana squad.

*Ghana will try to live for another day after losing to rival USA 2-1 in their opener. Ghana went all the way to the quarterfinal round of the 2010 World Cup, making this edition's expectations for them a little bit higher.

On the Spotlight: German striker Thomas Muller might be coming off a hat-trick but the spotlight for this showdown will be on the Boateng half-brothers.

Injury Report

Germany: Bastian Schweinsteiger is set to make a return after missing the opener against Portugal, while Matt Hummels (thigh problems) - who scored the other goal - could be replaced by Shkodran Mustafi.

Ghana: Majeed Waris is once again healthy to play. He could back up Asamoah Gyan, who has been the leader of the team's striking force since the 2010 World Cup.

"For Ghana, Majeed Waris should be available for selection, but Asamoah Gyan is likely to lead the attack once more," according to the Telegraph football expert John Ley.

John Ley predicted a fierce battle between the rival on Saturday, but Germany seem to be too talented for the Ghana to contain. He predicted a 3-1 win by the Germans. Mark Lawrenson of BBC News backed up Ley's prediction by predicting a 2-0 win to book their ticket into the next round.

"Ghana's defeat by the United States means they have to win this - and an open game will suit Germany down to the ground.

Germany's tricky-looking game against Portugal turned into a walk in the park for them, and it is definitely a case of them and one other to qualify for the last 16 now," Lawrenson stated.
