17 year old Jonathan Antoine gave Simon Cowell a Susan Boyle déjà vu moment when he stepped up on stage together with Charlotte Jaconelli to Audition for Britain's Got Talent. Cowell once again judged a book by its cover and even got caught on cam saying "Just when you think things couldn't get any worse," to fellow judge Carmen Electra.

The audience too seemed a bit judgmental with the way they looked at Antoine the moment he set foot on stage but in the end, the nervous, overweight, nobody, had the entire auditorium crowd up on their feet, close to tears, jaws flat out on the floor, Goosebumps and all - giving this meek teen and duet partner a standing ovation they well deserved.

Watch the Britain's Got Talent Audition of Jonathan Antoine and Charlotte Jaconelli singing their rendition of Andrea Bocelli and Celine Dion's The Prayer, below:

Watch how Susan Boyle wowed the crowd in her 2009 audition for the same Britain’s Got Talent show. Although Susan Boyle didn’t get a standing ovation from all 3 judges back then, the audience just loved her in the video below:

Jonathan Antoine seems to have a more promising future since he has had more singing experience and training before Britain’s Got Talent. The question is whether or not Charlotte would hold him back or not.

Although Simon Cowell gave Jonathan a suggestion to ditch Charlotte and go solo as the latter might hold him back, Jonathan showed the world what loyalty is all about.

Walk down memory lane with Jonathan Antoine and witness the travails of this talented bloke before Britain’s Got Talent.

Let’s just hope Jonathan Antoine doesn’t get another nervous breakdown, gets exploited, or suffers a meltdown like Susan Boyle did.
