A viral video is making the rounds on the Internet today, it's a Special Forces recruitment video, but it's not playing for the team that you might be expecting.

We command honor. We command respect. We command courage.

A new force is on the horizon. Do you have what it takes?

We are COBRA!

The video pays tribute to soldiers in the frontline, and shows off jets, tanks, gunboats, plenty of guns, plenty of explosions, soldiers striking their poses, and an American flag thrown in for good measure. But the big reveal is that these Special Forces belong to -- Cobra?! Excellent voice work by actor, Keith David, by the way.

Yes, it's part of a marketing campaign for the movie G.I. Joe: Retaliation, which is slated for release this year. In the movie, the U.S. government has been infiltrated and the Joes have been declared the enemy.

G.I. Joe: Retaliation stars Channing Tatum, Jonathan Pryce, Ray Park, and adds two new action heavyweights to the lineup: Dwayne Johnson, who plays Roadblock, heavy munitions expert (and cook!) and Bruce Willis, who plays Joe Colton, the legendary soldier responsible for the name "G.I. Joe."

So, be careful who you trust, but if you've always wanted to shout out "Cobrraaaaa!! Lalalalaalaa!!!" as you plunge into enemy territory, then go ahead and register at http://www.cobraspecialforces.com/, where you'll find downloadable content (just pictures of the Cobra logo and a helmeted Cobra Special Forces soldier).

There's also an events calendar that's unfortunately - only for the United States - for now. We'll have to wait for March 2013 to find out if the rest of the world will be taken over.
