Mel Gibson used a hypnotherapist for help as his relationship crashed.

Australian hynotherapist Rick Collingwood claimed that "Passion of the Christ" director sought his help as Gibson's relationship with Russian singer Oksana Grigorieva broke down. Gibson, 54, is accused of hitting Grigorieva, 40 in their Malibu Home.

"I gave him sessions to help with the stress he's obviously experiencing," Collingwood told Radar-Online. "He is a far nicer person that what is being portrayed in the media. "The specialist flew in to the star's US home two weeks agao for a ten-day treatment.

On other news, Oksana Grigorieva's legal team received $250,000 from Mel Gibson in fulfilment of a judge's order last month. While Gibson had been paying child support, Oksana had not received any money from him. Sources that Grigorieva wants more than what she receives from Gibson.
