'Girl With The Dragon Tattoo' Named As Best Film of 2011 by MTV Movies

MTV has looked back at the best movies done this 2011 before the year even comes to a close.

David Fincher's 'The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo' which is set to hit the big screen by December 20 was named to be on top of their list gathered by MTV Movies along with NextMovie as well.

It was last December 16 when its lead star Rooney Mara appeared over at ET to receive the said award. According to Josh Horowitz from MTV News, they easily fell head over heels for this movie the very first time that they saw it.

They were actually blown away by the lead star in Mara and the amazing performances delivered that were all guided well by the renowned David Fincher.

"We feel like this is a movie that is the best of what the thriller-crime drama can be," Horowitz added in his interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

On the other hand, the films that they expect to do well by next year are 'The Avengers,' 'The Hunger Games,' and 'The Dark Knight Rises' amongst many others.
