Meanwhile, Jo’s ex is going to be in town and she is worried about how it’s going to affect her life, while her friends assure her that she needs to keep her cool.
Phoebe announces she has passed her GAD and the girls decide to throw her a prom. They plan to convince SheShe to pay for it. Abby confesses she’d be glad to write about something more inspiring than her dating life for a change.
Abby pitches the idea to her boss. She soon finds to her discomfort that her boss loves Phoebe, and thinks a great deal more about her than she thinks of Abby. Phoebe is even offered to write her story for SheShe. Though excited, Phoebe declines after she sees how upset Abby is.
Later at prom Phoebe notices that though the event was meant to be in her honour, Abby had somehow managed to make it about her. Jo and Delia too side with Phoebe.
When Phoebe, points this to Abby, she (Abby) snaps and lashes out at Phoebe by saying that passing the GAD doesn’t make her a writer. The girls turn their backs on Abby after that.
Later Abby sees her mistake and makes it up with Phoebe by giving her the ‘Most likely To Succeed’ award. Abby suggests they write the story together, however Phoebe declines saying she needs time to think about what she want to do next.
Elsewhere, Jo’s ex arrives and Jo is surprised to see the transition from fat drunk to fit responsible man. She tries to reconnect with the man she once knew and ends up confessing she misses him.
Delia meanwhile, gets her life messed up by sleeping with her boss, even as she and Gordon (Matthew Glave) try and finalise the terms of their marriage.
