‘Girls’ star Allison Williams covers Harper’s Bazaar, rocks denim look
Actress Allison Williams is the latest cover girl of Harper’s Bazaar. She also serves as guest editor of the magazine for its December/January issue.
Williams posted the cover of the magazine on Instagram on Monday, with the caption, “Blue jean baby! Thank you #harperbyharpersbazaar for my favorite shoot in a really long time. Here's the cover!”
The upcoming issue of Harper’s Bazaar features the actress in a casual look. She is seen wearing denim and leather pants, which she pairs with a black belt. Photographer Mark Abrahams has captured her look for the magazine.
The “Girls” star also uploaded on Instagram another photo of herself from the magazine's photoshoot. In the caption, Williams shared her thoughts on how Pilates changed her life. She wrote that she lived her whole life feeling “super self-conscious” about her stomach, but after meeting Pilates instructor Ilaria Cavagna two years ago, the actress said she felt “stronger, healthier, more focused or more feminine.”
“Now, I love my stomach because it keeps me grounded to my core. And it's still the same stomach! Here's to proving yourself wrong. #harperbyharpersbazaar,” she wrote.
Meanwhile, the 27-year-old actress revealed to the magazine that her style icons are Diane Keaton, Grace Kelly, Diane Kruger, Princess Kate and Katherine Hepburn. These personalities represent “sophisticated fashion that’s also full of life,” Williams added.
Williams dished out some tips on her sense of fashion and said her style is “easy, timeless and rustic preppy.” She revealed that she wears Spanx for sweating. “I wear them almost every day. They have a little control top, so they’re flattering. I’ll often stay in exercise clothes all day,” she said.
Besides fashion, Williams also talked about her lack of culinary skills and called herself the “world’s worst cook.” The actress explained that she tried cooking before but the result wasn’t good as she had imagined.
In September, she married her longtime boyfriend and co-founder of CollegeHumor website Ricky Van Veen. People reported that the actress wore a couture gown by Oscar de la Renta.
