2011 has been proven to be a career high for television stars Lea Michele and Chelsea Handler.

Glamour magazine recently named the two as part of its 'Women Of The Year' special, to be featured on the December issue. Michele was touted as 'The Diva Next Door', while "Chelsea Lately's" Handler was titled "Queen Of The Night."

Michele might have just incorporated her "Glee" role Rachel Berry's diva attitude on herself, but in a good way. "Women in powerful positions get labeled with the D word, but you have to use your diva-ness for good as a way to show your strengths," the 25-year-old star tells Glamour.

Sure enough, this 'showing' has led to her success.

At the tender age of 8, the Broadway beauty already started appearing on stage. In fact, "Glee" co-creator Ryan Murphy created the Berry character specifically for Michele after watching her perform in "Spring Awakening" in a role he described as a "mix of Barbra Streisand and Patti LuPone".

On the other hand, comedienne Handler is indeed the 'queen of the night'. The 36-year-old single-handedly changed the landscape of late night comedy talk shows, making her the only woman in the game. That genre, formerly dominated by veterans Conan O'Brien, Jay Leno and David Letterman, as it turns out, only needed a Chelsea Handler to further spice up TV's weeknights.

The talk queen says, "My mouth has gotten me in trouble my entire life. I just happen to be making a career out of it."

However, it's not just her wildly-successful E! show "Chelsea Lately" that she has got it going on. She recently finished a live tour, published several successful books and has an upcoming sitcom based on one of them, "Are You There, Vodka? It's Me, Chelsea."

The rest, as they say, is history for the two of them.

Eight other winners from fields such as business, fashion and politics will be honored as well. These include Laura Bush and her daughters, Egyptian Esraa Abdel Fattah, cover girl Jennifer Lopez and Gloria Steinem, who will be presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award.

The 'Women Of The Year' celebration will be held on Glamour's gala event on Monday at Carnegie Hall in New York.
