The Glee cast has now surpassed The Beatles in terms of hits in the pop chart. Six new songs from Glee Season 2 Britney Spears episode has entereed Billboard Hot 100 making the Glee cast's hits up to 75, passing the 71 hits landed by the Beatles.

Beatles and Glee shares "Hello, Goodbye" and with Chris Colfer's cover "I Want To Hold Your Hand" from "Grilled Cheesus" the third episode for Season 2 which aired last night, predicted to enter the charts as well, that makes two songs as common hits between Glee and The Beatles.

Still, with 75 hits tucked under the Glee cast's belt, they still have a long way to go to beat the King of Pop Elvis Presley with 108 songs on the pop chart. For now, the Glee cast can be content with 2.8 million albums sales and 11.5 millions downloads, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Fans just hope that Sony Music pays out royalties to the Glee cast which previously complained to the media that Sony has not paid them out despite their covers landing the chart's top spot. New York Post quoted Corey Monteith as saying he was paid mere $400 while Mark Salling did not see a dime (despite the critical and commercial success of his Sweet Caroline cover). Lea Michele, who plays the perky Rachel Berry, is reportedly leading the cast in pressing that Sony Music pays them royalties.
