Glee Season 2 will release a Christmas album next month according to an exclusive report by Michael Ausiello of Entertainment Weekly.

Ausiello, who writes the Ausiello Files, said that a source confirmed to him that Fox is producing a Christmas album which features selections from Glee Season 2 sung by the cast. See his exclusive report on Entertainment Weekly for additional details here.

Previously, it was reported that the Glee cast has now surpassed The Beatles in terms of hits in the pop chart. Six new songs from Glee Season 2 Britney Spears episode have entereed Billboard Hot 100 making the Glee cast's hits up to 75, passing the 71 hits landed by the Beatles.

Fans just hope that this time around Sony Music would pay out royalties to the Glee cast. The Glee cast members had previously complained to the media that Sony has not paid them out despite their covers landing the chart's top spot. Lea Michele, who plays the perky Rachel Berry, had reportedly been leading the cast in pressing that Sony Music pay them royalties. (See full report here: Glee cast has more hits than The Beatles)
