Jessica Sanchez, "American Idol" Season 11 runner up, will be seen in multiple episodes in "Glee." Meanwhile, Bette Midler has been invited by Glee creator Ryan Murphy to appear on the show. Ms Midler has reportedly agreed to guest star on the show choir series.

The news of Sanchez joining Glee was first announced by TV Line's Michael Ausiello.

Glee creator Ryan Murphy's Twitter shout-out: Barbra Streisand?

Murphy threw some ideas via Twitter to get some viewer reaction on the participation of Jessica Sanchez on his show. Using his @MrRPMurphy account, the show runner tweeted:

"Michael Ausiello broke news of Jessica Sanchez on Glee. With voices like Jessica, Lea, Naya, Melissa, Amber, and Jenna...Streisand episode?"

Murphy is known for interacting with his show's viewers on Twitter. When Ms Midler agreed to guest star on Glee, he also tweeted:

"Bette said yes! Amazing. I am plotting...who should she play?"

Apparently, there is no story arc for Ms Midler yet, but she has tweeted about being Rachel Berry's grandma as a possibility.

When it comes to Jessica Sanchez, it appears Gleek ideas are still in the oven, too. What is clear is that negotiations are now a done deal.

The 'when' and the 'why' do not matter. Glee is on hiatus until next month, and Sanchez has the vocal chops for the job. But - where, what, how?

Where in the Glee worlds would Jessica appear? Ohio? NYADA? From a competing school?

What will she be? A good girl cliché? A version of Rachel Berry? A new love interest?

As for the 'how' part, the 'where' and 'what' will take care of that. As long as the story arc unfolds brilliantly, Glee viewers will stay tuned.
