Is Glee Star Naya Rivera Fired Over Lea Michele Feud?

"Glee" Season 5, Episode 18 airs on FOX this Tuesday, Apr. 30. Fans of Rachel Berry (Lea Michele) are looking forward to watching her cover Avicii's "Wake Me Up." Meanwhile, an online report "confirms" Naya Rivera, who plays Santana Lopez, is not appearing on the Glee Season 5 finale. Was Rivera officially fired as a result of her reported feud with Lea?

Zachary Jaydon of Popwrapped.com announced on Twitter Naya Rivera was "written out" of the Glee Season 5 finale. Citing "direct sources," the Web site confirms Santana Lopez will not be in this year's closing storyline. The report does not categorically announce Rivera has been fired, though.

This is Naya Rivera's fresh tweet: "So excited to watch Glee tonight!" Interestingly, Naya posted the tweet an hour after Zachary's tweet appeared. Gleek fans will see Season 5, Episode 18 for signs of possible Santana disappearance later on.

Earlier, Us reported "the truth" on the "feud" that is heating up between Lea Michele and Naya Rivera. The entertainment site's source claimed the two celebs have not been in good terms for a while. Did this "feud" inspire the latest Gleek "catfight" between Rachel and Santana in Glee Season 5? TMZ has a different story.

In Glee Season 5, Episode 17 ("Opening Night"), Rachel Berry earned a very positive review for her "Funny Girl" performance on the New York Times. Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch) visits New York for the first time. She exits Berry's play mid-show and goes for a one-night stand. Mr Schue (Matthew Morrison) is now officially a dad.

In this week's new episode, Rachel's star might fall, as teased by the Fox spoiler video. Meanwhile, Blaine has a new friend. Santana Lopez gets help from Mercedes (Amber Riley). Shirley McLaine guest stars. On Heather Morris' Brittany S. Pierce, E! Online reported she will back on the Glee Season 5 finale.

Glee Season 5 airs Tuesdays on FOX. The next new episode, "Old Dog, New Tricks," airs on May 6. Fox has confirmed Glee Season 6 is on, and creator Ryan Murphy is expected to end the series next year.
