Naya Rivera promotes 'Dantana' on Twitter; Australia's Eleven Fast Tracks the Cory Monteith Tribute
Glee Season 5 Episode 2 ("Tina in the Sky with Diamonds") marks Demi Lovato's entry into the lives of Gleek characters in New York City. It also paves the way for major changes in the Fox dramedy, and prepares the fans for an emotional and tearful Finchel ending in next week's Cory Monteith and Finn Hudson tribute.
Spoiler Alert: This review recaps the highlights of Glee Season 5, Episode 2, called, "Tina in the Sky with Diamonds." This is the second of Glee's 2-part tribute to The Beatles.
Next week, Gleek fans are expected to shed tears for the much anticipated Finchel closure: "The Quarterback." For now, Dantana and the New Directions bring the smiles from Lima, Ohio and New York City.
As Dani, Demi and Santana (Naya Rivera) share a kiss. Santana also gets to "expand" her career options, thanks to an endorsement gig. Still on career, Rachel Berry (Lea Michele) starts a new Broadway chapter in her life. Meanwhile, the kids back in Lima enjoy their prom -- the Gleek way.
Naya Rivera excites her Twitter followers with an engaging shout-out to Demi Lovato's appearance on Glee Season 5. The sexy young actress tweets, "Oh and tonight on Glee it's Dantana, b**ches!"
Dani and Santana, now known to fans as Dantana, share a kiss after a duet in the episode. More performances are expected from Demi Lovato in the next episodes - after "The Quarterback."
Glee Season 5 is moving along nicely although viewers are not seeing remarkable improvements. Fans have seen the separate lives of New York and Ohio characters merge smoothly in "Love, Love, Love." The Gleek humour is unchanging, and the show often requires viewers to stray from what's plausible. There have been criticisms that the songs are not as good as before, but The Beatles may be a good starting point this season.
Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Blaine (Darren Criss) got engaged in the first part of Glee Season 5 premiere. The proposal opens the show on a happy note, and this week's episode carries it on. But viewers expect tears to fall during Episode 3, the show's tribute for Finn Hudson and Cory Monteith.
Lea's Rachel Berry is ecstatic to learn that she has nailed her "Funny Girl" audition. It's Broadway on, for the ever-passionate and ambitious character. It must be noted that Lea Michele has taken a major role in conceptualising next episode's Finn/Cory tribute. Rachel Berry is expected to go from thrills to tears.
