Glee Season 5 spoilers are centered on what will happen to Finchel couple: Cory Monteith's Finn Hudson and Lea Michele's Rachel Berry. Series creator Ryan Murphy has spoken, saying there will be a tribute episode early on in the show's next chapter.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Ryan Murphy said there will be no recasting for Finn Hudson. The Glee showrunner also referred to Cory Monteith as an "older son." He also said he did tell Lea Michele it's okay should she decide to quit Glee Season 5.

"According to Murphy, (Lea Michele) 'bravely' suggested that (quitting Glee) wasn't an option," the entertainment news channel reported. Finchel fans can be sure that Rachel Berry will return to Glee. "When we do the tribute episode to (Finn Hudson), we'll have to do it in a way where the cast members will not have to re-create feelings of grief that they’ve had this week," Murphy said, referring to the shock and devastation that overwhelmed the Glee stars following Cory's death.

Murphy adds the tribute will be done "in an upbeat way." He also said, "If we can do this responsibly and help young people through these feelings, that’s the best that we can hope for."

Fox executives had earlier said Glee Season 5 could be delayed up to November to give everyone some time to grieve. However, Murphy said the best thing Glee cast and production could do was to be together in their grief.

"Ultimately, we decided the best thing for everyone is to get back to work and be around people who knew (Cory Monteith) and loved him so that everyone can grieve together,” he said.

Filming for Glee Season 5 is pushed back a week, beginning in August instead of late July. The first two episodes have been written, and will be "tweaked slightly." The third episode will feature the Cory Monteith/Finn Hudson tribute. The show's new chapter will premiere Sept. 26 instead of Sept. 19 as previously announced.
