It seems Glee is planning a big bash for its return to Season 5 and its special 100th episode. The show took its winter hiatus after airing its Christmas special, Glee Season 5 Episode 8 "Previously Unaired Christmas" on Dec. 5, 2013. The second half of the Glee Season 5 has a very special episode in store for the fans. The 100th episode of the Fox's musical will be a part of the return of the show in spring 2014.

Show runners have planned for a return of the many main and high profile characters of the show. According to the report by Hollywood Reporter, in the special upcoming season 5 segment, which is also Glee Episode 100, actress Gwyneth Paltrow will reprise her role as Holly Holliday. The huge lineup also includes the original or past cast members such as: Harry Shum Jr as Mike, Heather Morris as Brittany, Dianna Agron as Quinn, Mark Salling as Puck, Kristin Chenoweth as April and Amber Riley as Mercedes who also won last season of "Dancing With the Stars."

According to the spoilers of the 100th episode of "Glee," actor Chace Crawford will also appear in the special segment. He is the TV actor known for his role in CW's TV show "Gossip Girl". He is expected to be involved with Quinn's life.

As per the spoilers for the storyline of the 100th episode of "Glee," the two-episode segment will revolve around Sue Sylvester who is determined to finish New Directions, the music club at McKinley High. And it appears she will succeed in doing so.

Following this fall off of New Directions, the storyline of the rest of the Glee Season 5 will be based in New York City. "There will be some that will graduate and move on and they'll arc back in when we do special episodes. They'll always be a part of it. The way it's going to dovetail next season, we'll see some familiar faces coming around in some capacity. But for this season, there will be a graduation, several of the castmembers will move on and a few others will go to New York," told Ryan Murphy to The Hollywood Reporter while dishing out spoilers on Glee Season 5 and its 100th episode.

Even though the remaining Glee Season 5 episodes will be set away from Ohio, Jane Lynch's character Sue Sylvester will continue to be the part of the show as long as it is there, revealed Ryan Murphy.

The show makers are trying to make it an extra special and a memorable segment for the anticipating fans, as revealed by the spoilers. The 100th episode of "Glee" will be a double treat of sorts as it will be aired in two segments on March 18 and March 25. The show is set to return with the second part of Glee Season 5 on Feb. 25, 2014 with Episode 9 on Fox.
