The Rachel Berry show in the works? “Glee” creator Ryan Murphy is said to be developing a spinoff from the U.S. musical dramedy show, which is set to have Lea Michele in the title billing.

RadarOnline.com reported that the hit Fox show is already “showing signs of ageing,” so Murphy has decided to transfer Michele and some of the core cast to another project.

“This will be announced soon,” an insider told the Web site.

“They’re making the deals now and it also presents a viable exit plan for the main Glee series itself – in that some of its core cast would also migrate to the Lea Michele project as Glee is showing signs of ageing.”

Michele plays the de factor lead character Rachel Berry in the show. The said spinoff show will be the “fresh start” she needs to move on from the death of her boyfriend Cory Monteith, who also played her character’s love interest, Finn Hudson.

“This is definitely happening,” the insider insisted.

However, a Fox rep rebuffed the report, telling The Times that there is no truth behind the spinoff series.

Meanwhile, the 27-year-old actress has reportedly recorded a song for Monteith called “If You Say So,” which were the final words the 31-year-old actor said to her before he died.

In the December issue of Elle magazine, Michele gave her first interview since Monteith’s tragic passing in July.

“I said [to Australian songwriter Sia], ‘I feel like I’m starting to just sink in it, and he would never want me to do that,” she told the magazine. “I need to remember that you have to live, because you can want to die.”
