Cory Monteith will not be in the Glee Season 4 finale because he has checked into rehab over substance addiction. In a heartwarming display of support, the Glee cast showed they have Cory's back in a series of touching tweets. The actor reassured his fans on Twitter that he is not exactly at the lowest point of his life. In return, his fans rallied to have #WeSupportCory trending on the social network. This is their virual hug to the actor who plays Finn Hudson in the Fox dramedy.

Such a beautiful day! Truly seeing the forest for the trees. #gratitude," Monteith tweeted on Friday. This is his second time to seek treatment for substance addiction. He has previously opened up to People about his situation.

"I don't want kids to think it's okay to drop out of school and get high, and they'll be famous actors, too," Monteith told People magazine about two years ago. Monteith "graciously asks for your respect and privacy as he takes the necessary steps towards recovery," the actor's rep told entertainment reporters.

Rallying behind Monteith is his girlfriend and Glee co-star Lea Michele, who plays Rachel Berry. Chris Colfer, who plays Finn's stepbrother in Glee, is also supportive of Monteith.

"I am grateful and proud he made this decision," Michele told People magazine. Michele, who makes half of the fan favorite Finchel couple, is clear about standing behind her boyfriend under difficult circumstances.

"Anyone who helps themselves is a hero in my book," Colfer tweeted. Other fans on Twitter are shouting-out their support:
