GLEE: Zac Efron open to guest star in musical show
Charlie St. Cloud actor Zac Efron wants a spot on Glee. Efron was overheard saying that he likes to guest on the popular musical show.
"They haven't asked me yet... I think it'd be really fun. They're doing a great job of the show. Yeah, absolutely," Zac Efron said, according to online reports.
The High School Musical star will surely be a welcome addition to the Glee's growing family. But Efron should take a cue from Filipina singer Charice. The singer made her debut appearance as Sunshine Corazon in the first episode of Glee entitled "Audition" which aired last night in the United States and now MTV reported how Charice landed the part.
MTV revealed that Charice asked her mother to make a call to her manager to talk about a possible spot in Glee. Charice eventually auditioned to Glee creator Ryan Murphy. She shared that she found out that she got the part through Twitter, followed by a confirmation via e-mail.
Meanwhile, Glee proved to rule the airwaves as it opened its second season. Glee premiered strongly with a Nielsen preliminary 5.5 rating/16 share in the United States, beating CBS' "NCIS" (3.9/11) and ABC's "Dancing with the Stars: Results Show" (2.6/7) during the 8 p.m. to 9 p.m time period.
