Glee's latest addition: Charice Pempengco
Filipino singing sensation Charice will be making her debut appearance on Fox's musical show Glee's new season as "Sunshine." Charice will first appear in the episode called "Audition" as she plays the role of a Filipino exchange student. "Sunshine" will be Lea Michele's Rachel Berry's rival at the Glee show choir.
In the new season's promo, Charice and Michele are seen having a showdown in McKinley's bathroom to the tune of Lady Gaga-Beyonce duet "Telephone." Emmy award winner Jane Lynch is shown as Sue Sylvester, of course, looking on the on-going cat fight intervening finally with a loud "Shut Up."
Charice sang the hit pop song "Pyramid." She previously appeared on Oprah and Ellen DeGeneres after Charice was discovered from YouTube. At present, she is under the guidance of Grammy winning producer David Foster. Since her discovery, she has performed with famous international singers like Celine Dion and Andre Bocelli.
Glee's Season 2 will also bring in Hollywood artists John Stamos, Dot Jones, Carol Burnett and iCarly's Chord Overstreet. The much-hyped Britney Spears episode will also be shown this season, with a cameo from the former pop princess herself. Glee will return to Fox on September 21 at 8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT.
