ER star John Stamos will give Matthew Morrison a check-up, not as a doctor this time but as a dentist in Glee's new season. Stamos' Dr. Carl Howell will serve as Morrison's Mr. Schuester this time for the affection of McKinley's guidance counselor Emma Pillsbury, played by Jayma Mays.

"Just when Will thinks he'll win Emma because he can sing and dance," Stamos said to TV Guide, "we find out Carl used to be in an '80s boy band."

Stamos' dentist character will also administer anesthesia to students Rachel Berry, Artie, cheerleaders Brittany and Santana which shift the show into a dreamy sequence, where Britney Spears will appear.

Jason Stamos is not the only one to make his debut appearance on the show. Filipino singing sensation Charice will also be making her debut on the Fox's musical show this season as "Sunshine" in the episode called "Audition" as she plays the role of a Filipino exchange student who will be at rivalry with Lea Michele's Rachel Berry at the Glee show choir.
