Actress Jane Lynch, who plays the scheming and sarcastic cheerleading coach on hit TV series, 'Glee', has gotten engaged to her partner, Lara Embry. Lynch herself confirmed the news at a 'Glee' event earlier this month.

"It's true (but) we don't have any plans at all yet, but I have a ring and everything," said Lynch, who was more than happy to flash all 0.35 carats of diamonds on her platinum engagement ring. The ring was picked by her psychologist partner, Embry, whom Lynch met at a National Centre for Lesbian Rights event. It is said that they will have their wedding this May.

In a separate interview, Lynch shared that she was glad to be in a project long enough so she can personalise her own dressing room. Before landing the role as the mean-spirited Sylvester, Lynch was mainly recognised for her roles in films like 'The 40-Year-Old Virgin,' 'Role Models,' and 'Julie and Julia' with Meryl Streep.

She told British morning show 'GMTV': "I've been going from job to job and not staying long enough to have a pillow or a candle in my dressing room. But I've got roots here and I get to do a character that has an arc and I get to be a part of a major storyline and that hasn't happened for me in my career."

Lynch recently spoofed Madonna's iconic 'Vogue' video for the hit musical comedy when the Material Girl allowed the show to perform songs from her back catalogue. The singer was given a special preview of the episode, and though she has not seen an episode prior to the preview, called the one-off special "fantastic" and "genius." "I heard Madonna loved it," said Lynch, "So we're really happy. Mission accomplished!"
