Golden Globe Awards 2014: Jennifer Lawrence's Top Five Moments
Jennifer Lawrence made a few scenes during the Golden Globe Awards yesterday, all in a good way. Here, we count down the top five moments involving our favourite silly princess.
5. The shipwrecked princess "rip-off"
J-Law stepped on the red carpet wearing a white mermaid dress with black detailing made by none other than Dior. But that same dress caused some netizen frenzy that lasted up to, well, today. From the comparison to Ariel's shipwreck dress to Colton Haynes' spoof that spawned other fan-made spoofs (dare we say it's easy to do?), there's no doubt that this dress will be one of Jennifer's most unforgettable red carpet outfits.
4. The David O. Russell FYI portion
Jennifer made an ode to the "American Hustle" director in her acceptance speech after winning the Best Supporting Actress award, by way of the statement that follows:
"Years ago, I watched a movie called I Heart Huckabees and I was so in awe and floored by this completely unchartered humor so I googled who made it and I saw that it was the same director as Three Kings and Flirting With Disaster and Spanking the Monkey and I just thought that this is the most brilliant man in every single way and so by some weird twist of fate, this is the same man that made my career. It's so weird!"
3. The Awww-Inspiring PDA
There's no reason for Nicholas Hoult to get jealous with Bradley Cooper, what with all the PDA moments he had with his girlfriend at the Golden Globes. First, they shared a kiss, which was caught on camera. Then, she wore his tuxedo jacket during the after party, which the paparazzi captured. Finally, they shared a selfie as well. Take that, Bradley!
2. The Golden Globe win
The Golden Globes, along with the Screen Actors' Guild Awards, is said to be the precursor to the Oscars. And with J-Law nabbing the Best Supporting Actress award from the Golden Globes, we won't be surprised if she gets her second Oscar for the second consecutive year.
1. The Taylor Swift photobomb
But more than her win, Jennifer pulled off the stunt that Us Magazine dubbed as Photobomb of the Year - making a scene during Ryan Seacrest's interview with Taylor Swift without the latter's knowledge. Moments later, J-Law greets T-Swift and then jokes, "I was going to come in and push you down the stairs."
Ryan shares this moment via an Instagram photo and captions it as "the single most important photo from the #goldenglobes red carpet."
It's just 12 days into the year 2014, and Jennifer has done a whole lot. And with the projects (and possibly awards) lined up for her for the year, we can be sure that we'll see more of J-Law's awesomeness for the months to come.
