"The Good Wife" Season 6, Episode 7 ("Message Discipline"), airs this Sunday, Nov. 2, on CBS. It moves forward with the campaign of Alicia Florrick (Julianna Margulies) for State's Attorney. A potential opponent comes to the surface, and Eli Gold (Alan Cumming) is not thrilled.
Spoiler alert: This update contains The Good Wife Season 6 spoilers. Read at your own risk if you have not seen the previous episodes or read the synopsis.
In a CBS promo clip for The Good Wife Season 6, Episode 7, TV personality Frank Prady (David Hyde Pierce) interviews Alicia Florrick on her bid for the State's Attorney seat. His reaction to her confirmation on TV does not hint of a supportive stance.
The same promo video hints that Prady could be running for State's Attorney, sorely affecting Alicia's chances. This time, the candidate is much stronger than David Castro (Michael Cerveris), even stronger than Alicia.
Prady running could be the "problem" that Eli Gold is talking about in the Episode 7 clip. Further in the promo video, Jonathan Elfman (Steven Pasquale), tells Alicia that a certain personality is a "brand," who is "a bigger brand than [Alicia]." And if this "he" person runs, Alicia loses.
"Finn (Matthew Goode) discovers a potentially devastating piece of evidence against Cary (Matt Czuchry) that could impact Alicia and Peter (Chris Noth). Meanwhile, Eli becomes wary when a new prospective candidate emerges in the race for State's Attorney," reads The Good Wife Season 6, Episode 7 synopsis on TV.com.
The lines in the promo clip for this week's new episode of The Good Wife seems to confirm that it is going to be Florrick vs Prady in the next episode(s) of the series.
Many "Frasier" fans are thrilled to learn that David Hyde Pierce is back on TV, playing a very strong character in a hit legal drama. Julianna Margulies may have lost Josh Charles as a sparring partner in excellent acting, but the yin and the yang balance in the show has been well moderated despite the death of Charles' Will Gardner in The Good Wife Season 5.
More is expected to be dug up when it comes to the Cary Agos case. Finn may have endorsed Alicia for State's Attorney, but he is not going easy on Agos. Or at least he is not expected to. The Good Wife Season 6, Episode 7 is probably going to launch another Florrick couple scandal.
The Good Wife Season 6 airs Sundays on CBS.
