"Alicia faces a crisis of conscience when she is encouraged to be negative in her campaign for State's Attorney. Meanwhile, the Feds try to persuade Cary to work with them as they attempt to build a case against Lemond Bishop," reads the synopsis of The Good Wife Season 6, Episode 9 on TV.com.
Jonathan Elfman (Steven Pasquale) knows Alicia could lose to Frank Prady (David Hyde Pierce). David Castro (Michael Cerveris) has left the race, but it does not necessarily help Alicia. Prady is a big brand, and Alicia's team is not going to stop at playing dirty in the politics arena. The Good Wife Season 6, Episode 9 is likely to show a version of Alicia that is becoming desperate for a sure victory.
Meanwhile, after the news broke that Archie Panjabi is leaving The Good Wife, many fans have become worried that Kalinda might die. Lemond Bishop (Mike Colter) trailing her like a monstrous threat is not helping. How far would Kalinda go to protect Cary? Viewers do not have to be shippers of these two to wish for a less tragic ending, if it could be helped.
Connie Nielsen will be seen again in The Good Wife Season 6, Episode 9 as Ramona Lytton, Peter Florrick's (Chris Noth) new lawyer. Lytton's show of insecurities and intelligence remind viewers of how things started for Alicia in Season 1. It seems Nielsen will have a stronger presence in the series.
TVLine has earlier reported David Krumholtz ("Numbers") is coming to The Good Wife Season 6 as Alicia's campaign specialist. Pasquale is bringing Krumholtz' character to give Alicia a better chance at winning against Prady. Krumholtz appears in Episode 9 as Josh Mariner.
This week's new episode was written by creators and showrunners Robert King and Michelle King, and directed by Michael Zinberg. When the heads take charge of the script, something big is coming. The Good Wife Season 6 has not disappointed this season, and if the pattern continues, viewers could expect more compelling drama in Episode 9.
The Good Wife airs Sundays on CBS.
