“The Good Wife” Season 6 returns to CBS with a new episode this week. Titled “Red Meat,” this Mar. 22 episode turns the spotlight on Peter (Chris Noth) and Alicia (Julianna Margulies), the powerful Florricks of Illinois. In the CBS promo video, Alicia accuses Peter of not wanting her to win the election.

In the previous episode of “The Good Wife” Season 6, viewers saw Alicia and Johnny Elfman (Steven Pasquale) give in to the sexual tension between them. This happens after Alicia aligns her view of Gov. Peter Florrick to that of Frank Prady’s (David Hyde Pierce).

Peter Florrick himself is showing up in this week’s new episode of “The Good Wife.” The CBS promo video shows Gov. Florrick would be publicly speaking about his wife’s bid to be the next State’s Attorney.

“Alicia's political future is on the line when Peter gives an interview that could influence voter turnout on Election Day,” reads the CBS episode synopsis. In the promo video, Alicia (spoiler alert) confronts Peter for making it sound like she has already won the election.

Alicia argues people are not going to come out to vote if they are complacent about Alicia winning against Frank Prady. Then Alicia pauses. Peter knows this. So why is he promoting an air of complacence? “You don’t want me to get elected!” Alicia tells Peter in the latest CBS promo clip for “The Good Wife” Season 6.

In the same episode (spoiler alert), Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski) goes out on a hunting date with her husband Kurt McVeigh (Gary Cole). This trip opens a door for her to get a client for Florrick/Agos/Lockhart.

Alicia has not been spending enough time at Florrick/Agos/Lockhart. At one point, Cary Agos (Matt Czuchry) and Diane asked her why she’s still running. The following week’s episode will put the firm on spotlight.

For this week, in “The Good Wife” Season 6, the power couple gets the spotlight. Eli Gold (Alan Cumming) is in the same scene where Alicia confronts Peter about his stance on her election bid. Looking uncomfortable, Eli smells trouble the moment Alicia spoke out her accusation. Could this mean another Florrick war?
