'The Good Wife' season 7 episode 17 spoilers: Conflict grows in the firm in ‘Shoot’

“The Good Wife” Season 7 is nearing its end. Season 7 Episode 17, titled “Shoot,” will air on March 20, featuring conflict between Cary Agos (Matt Czuchry) and David Lee (Zach Grenier). Alicia (Julianna Margulies) will also be requested to help her husband, Peter (Chris Noth.)

In the previous episode, titled “Hearing,” some of the potential reasons why Peter was asked to come to a grand jury were shown. Eli (Alan Cumming) was able to acquire some details on why Peter may be summoned. Eli talked to Cary about a case titled State and Lock, where Peter may be charged for acquitting a defendant in exchange for receiving huge fundraiser donations.

The real reason for trying Peter has yet to be revealed. At the end of the episode, Diane (Christine Baranski) shared to Alicia that the firm requires its own identity and an advantage, which is why they may need to buy out Cary. Alicia consulted Lucca (Cush Jumbo) about the situation, who advised her to talk to Cary as well.

The next episode will most likely showcase the growing rift between the members of the law firm as Diane tries to make it an all-female group as Cary suspected. There will most likely be a heated verbal exchange between the members and Alicia may have to be the one to help cool the situation.

Carter Matt reveals that “Shoot” will involve the topic of gun violence, as the title suggests. Not a lot of details was provided regarding the episode, so fans will have to wait until the official airing to know more. Fred Toye directed the episode, while Stephanie SenGupta served as writer.

There will be no episode of “The Good Wife” airing on March 13. There are four episodes remaining, with the final three airing on Mar. 27, Apr. 10 and May 8, 2016, respectively. Episode 18, titled “Unmanned,” will most likely involve a driverless car, while “Landing,” might cover an airplane case.

“The Good Wife” Season 7 Episode 17 will air on Sunday, Mar. 20 at 9 p.m. on CBS in the US. It airs Wednesday on Ten in Australia. More updates and details are expected soon.
