'The Good Wife' Season 7 Episode 7 recap: Alicia and Peter are compelled to live together again
Season 7 Episode 7 of “The Good Wife,” titled “Driven,” aired on Nov. 15, and featured Alicia (Julianna Margulies) and Peter Florrick (Chris Noth) getting close again.
During the episode, Louis Canning referred a case to Alicia, focusing on a defendant who was accused of recklessly operating and crashing a self-driving car into another vehicle. Alicia will be battling Canning, Diane and Cary from her previous law firm.
Eli (Alan Cumming), who was concerned about the image of Peter and Alicia’s marriage to the public, attempted to fix for the two to temporarily live together for the duration of Peter’s presidential campaign. Eli and Ruth (Margo Martindale) were worried about media claims that Alicia and Peter have not shared a bed in the past three years. Putting the couple back together will also avoid further encounters between Alicia and Jason Crouse (Jeffrey Dean Morgan).
Eli also made an arrangement for Peter to meet a rich CEO to donate to his campaign, as well as organized a fake birthday party for Grace.
Before Peter arrived, Alicia made drinks for Jason and commended him on his work. She also mentioned that she needed insurance for her company and wanted Jason to sign a release for liability. Jason agreed to signing the document.
After being appointed to the election board, Alicia kept her promise to vote with Frank Landau.
Alicia was successful in a legal deposition, while Peter shared that he received 1 million dollars from a donor to his campaign. The two got so excited about their recent deals that they decided to have sex. However, Alicia clarified that it would work to their advantage if they did not care about their tryst.
During the episode, CEO Courtney Paige (Vanessa Williams), also appeared. She was considering donating to Peter’s campaign but is still hesitant about the couple’s marriage. Later, Courtney told Eli that she decided to support Peter.
In the meantime, Peter’s mother, Jackie became engaged to Howard Lyman (Jerry Adler). Peter was not very happy with the news.
Season 7 Episode 8 of “The Good Wife” will air next on Nov. 22 on CBS.
