Google Australia executives to leave posts
Kate Vale and Lars Rasmussen set to leave search giant
Kate Vale, Google Australia's Youtube chief and Lars Rasmussen, Google Wave's co-founder, will both be leaving their posts within the Internet company.
Vale headed the company's sales operations for Australia and New Zealand for six years. In March 2009, she was named as the Australia and New Zealand head for Youtube. The company has still not appointed a replacement for Vale.
In a statement, Google said, "Kate Vale has decided to take on new challenges and a new career direction outside of Google - we wish her all the best, and thank her for her enormous contribution in building Google Australia."
Rasmussen, on the other hand, is credited for leading the development effort for Google Maps and Google Wave. He will be leaving his post for a position in Facebook.
Vale and Rasmussen's resignation comes at the heels of Karim Temsamani's departure. Temsamani, who held the position of managing director for Google Australia and New Zealand, has taken a job with Google in another country. The company has yet to appoint a replacement for Temsamani
