Google Goes Cloud, Releases Cloud Print App for Android
Google unleashed their official Android application for Google Cloud Print service. Users can now download the official app from Google Play Store.
Cloud printing has been around for quite some time but it took some time before Google decided finally to try their hands on it. Developing the official application for their very own platform can spell a range of rewards again for the company.
Up until the release of the application, Google's Cloud Print Service runs on third party applications. Currently, the application is only available for Android. Google is yet to release the application for Windows and iOS.
Iphone and iOS users will need to stick to third party solutions for the meantime. Print Central Pro is an ideal substitute for the application on iOS. Windows phone device users, on the other hand, will need to stick to their Internet browsers for the web version.
The Google Cloud Print service allows users to connect their printers to the internet. This allows people to access their printer even in a remote location. Similar to Google Docs, Google Cloud Print lets people share their printer. Earlier, Google already incorporated the service in their Chrome web browser. This gives users the option to send Google Cloud Print a print command directly.
The service can connect a normal printer or printers that are configured for Google Cloud Print. Kodak and HP already announced that they will be putting out printers that Google Cloud Print Ready. Normal printers should be connected to the internet because they can be used with the service.
