Google Now May Assist You in Personal Shopping
Google is currently working to turn Google Now as the most useful personal assistant in the mobile market.
The search giant announced on Google Plus that the latest update to its Google search app will remind all Android users to spend money on buying products. The app helps to keep a track of the products that are searched for online and then alert the users by receiving notifications when they pass by retailers that might carry that product which was recently searched.
For instance, if you have searched for a pair of hiking boots or a toy for your kid, but decided not to purchase them at that moment. Surprisingly, those products will automatically appear in a Google Now card assuming a nearby store actually sells those items.
If it's true, then the card will pop up on your device to "remind you that you wanted them." It includes the products, their prices and the stores where you can find them.
Google reported it's not clear how many products it can keep track of at any one time, nor how long it will show items and check if you can buy them locally.
Even if Google Now shows the card every time, unfortunately, it can't tell you whether the product is in stock with the retailer. You need to personally go and check its availability in the store. If you really want to save some money and keep your wallet safe, then like other cards, you can turn off tracking via Google Now's settings.
Google has been working on improving its personal assistance app of late. Another tiny innovation the company introduced is a helpful feature that reminds drivers where exactly the car is parked if by any chance they don't remember.
With this, Android users will be totally dependent on their devices.
