Google Teases the Next Android 4.4, Codenamed “KitKat”
Well the above picture might not be synonym to you but don't worry when we reveal out the final detail this might blow your minds off. Google's SVP Sundar Pichai has just confirmed, by the above photo, that the next Android from Google is dubbed as "KitKat" and it will be Android 4.4 rather than of Android 5.0. Well most of the folks suggested that Google would go for Android 5.0 KLP but it looks like Sundar Pichari loved the name Kitkat more appealing.
While details are light at the moment, Google teases its upcoming release with the following line:
"It's our goal with Android KitKat to make an amazing Android experience available for everybody."
And just to remind you, here are all the previous dessert-based names : Cupcake (1.5), Donut (1.6), Eclair (2.0), Froyo (2.2), Gingerbread (2.3), Honeycomb (3.0), Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0), and Jelly Bean (4.1-4.3).
Pichai also announced that there are now over one billion Android device activations, surpassing the 900 million mark back in May this year.
We may see KitKat get it rolled to some new devices including the NEXUS Sect and some of the other major devices.
