Google’s Mobile Search To Lessen Stress Of Black Friday Shopping
The giant company's mobile search will provide more shopping details and more information on some products that will go on sale (some products already are) on the major shopping event this Friday. Google's mobile website will deliver more details on the products included on all consumers' holiday must-buy list.
When users search for a specific product on Google through their smartphones and tablets, the website will provide more information on the item, on where to buy the product and even provide reviews from other users. The website will even show products in 360 degree imagery so that users can have a fuller view of the items.
To illustrate, users can tap into Google's mobile site to launch Google on their mobile devices. The users have to type the name of the product in the search field and by tapping the Shopping category button the system narrows down the search results. After that Google will display the name and photos of the item, its description, prices from different retail stores, reviews, and videos plus even more details, CNET reports.
Apparently, smartphones have become the most effective shopping assistant for consumers by helping them save time, allowing users to read product reviews, watch product demos and locate nearby retailers which have the product in stock. Shopping searches using Google mobile search have increased 3.5 times year after year and still shows continued growth. In addition, different devices, toys and even apparel are trending and are widely searched on Google Shopping. Devices like game consoles and tablets, certain retro toys and cold-weather apparel like Hunter Boots and Canada Goose Jackets are the most commonly searched items.
According to ZDNet, 27 percent of consumers have already started with their Black Friday hunting through online search using the following top questions in Google search: "What time do stores open on Black Friday?," "What time does Black Friday start?," "When does Black Friday end?" and "What to buy on Black Friday?." In addition, Google shows that almost 50 percent of 25 to 34 year old consumers use their smartphones to shop online while standing in line at a retail store.
