Virtual band Gorillaz, fronted by Damon Albarn of Blur, have announced their first world tour.

They will be playing 20 US shows, 10 nights in Europe, as well as two nights at the 02 Arena in London, followed by seven shows in Asia and Australia.

Some of the band's recently declared UK dates will be moved to give way to an additional show in Brighton and in Antwerp, Belgium.

The Gorillaz is famous for their hits Dare and Clint Eastwood.

The shows in Glasgow, Newcastle and Milan are being called off due to a new route that has been scheduled.

Their third record Plastic Beach, which is also the name of their tour, was released in March and went to number two in the UK chart.

The Gorillaz recently stood in for U2, who were forced to pull out because of singer Bono's back injury, as Glastonbury Festival's first-night headliners.
