Gorillaz snubs Glee, music likely not be heard in Glee Season 2
Glee fans will not hear virtual band Gorillaz music on Glee Season 2, as the band lead singer Damon Albarn said he is not interested in letting the New Directions render their songs the Glee-way.
The band is best known for "Feel Good Inc." featuring De La Soul (it won a Grammy).
Gorillaz had released two albums, both reached platinum, and their latest album "Plastic Beach" came out in March.
Albarn said musical shows like Glee, which is now on its Season 2, features poor versions of the original. The Gorillaz lead singer said Glee renders very poor alternatives to the real thing.
Albarn did not stop there with his jab at Glee. He even dismissed Glee's surpassing The Beatles in Billboard Hot 100 chart (read: Glee cast has more hits than The Beatles!), saying that the feat should not be taken seriously as unlike the Beatles, Glee is forgettable and will be forgotten in a matter of years.
Gorillaz are currently busy with the North American leg of their "Escape to Plastic Beach World Tour" which started earlier this month. The tour will end in Vancouver on November 3.
