It is official: Kristen Bell will be seen in the Gossip Girl finale. But what should fans expect?

Bell has been rendering her great-for-dramatic-taunting voice to the series since it began in 2007. In a tweet, Bell expressed what being Gossip Girl's voice meant to her.

Kristen Bell: Voice of Gossip Girl to be Seen in the Finale

It has been widely believed that Bell is not actually Gossip Girl. Still, fans could not help but wonder whether the actress would at least make a cameo appearance in the finale.

E! Online sets the record straight:

"You will only get a brief glimpse of [Bell], but she's part of a sequence that is both poignant and cool!"

In a separate report, E! Online teased:

"We obviously can't spill the beans, but we found out who Gossip Girl is and we have. So. Many. Emotions. It's pretty great. And even kind of makes sense."

Gossip Girl Season 6 Episode 8: 'It's Really Complicated'

There are only three episodes left before the omniscient Gossip Girl takes a bow. This is the CW's official synopsis for the third-to-the-last episode of Gossip Girl:

"Serena and Dan decide to throw their first Thanksgiving together, inviting only their closest friends, but everyone seems to have their own agenda for attending. Feeling defeated by his father, Chuck begins a downward spiral, leaving Blair to find a solution to his problems. Meanwhile, Dan has written his latest expos, but he must make a tough decision whether to publish it, knowing it could destroy a close friendship."

Viewers will perhaps find out in this episode what Dan has written in the "Serena chapter."
