The season 6 of the series Gossip Girl will air by fall. CW announced that the season 6 for gossip girl would be the last season for the popular series.

The network also released a statement that would depict the theme for season 6. Here is the statement released by CW:"Serena has gone off the grid, beyond even the reach of Gossip Girl. Her friends fear for the worst and hope for the best, but even they can't imagine where they will ultimately find her."

Chace Crawford, one of the stars of the series expressed his sentiments about the finale stating that ""For me, it's going to be...tough to leave New York City. And it's definitely an end of an era. It was college for everyone really." As for the ending of his character Nate, he disclosed his own hopes for his character saying "If I got to write the show, it would be a very different thing. I would make Chuck Gossip Girl and I would turn my character into Patrick Bateman from American Psycho that would be a weird twist of events."

There will be eleven episodes for the season 6 of gossip girl. Other CW shows that are renewed for next season includes 90210, Hart of Dixie, Supernatural, The Vampire Diaries, Nikita, Supernatural, and America's Next Top Model.
