Gossip Girl lead star Blake Lively graces the cover of Allure magazine for its October 2010 issue. In her interview for the magazine, Lively, who plays Serena Vanderwoodsen, talks about her new movie The Town where her role was originally supposed to be for a 37-year old woman. Lively is just 23-years old.

"This part was originally supposed to be for a 37-year-old woman - she's a mother - but when I read the script, I knew I had to have the part," said Blake Lively. "It was selfish of me. I worried I would ruin it for other people. But I had to try it."

Lively rose to fame playing a soccer chick in the Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants. She portrays the New York socialite Serena in the Gossip Girls now on its fourth season. She will also star in the The Green Lantern film adaptation.

Unlike her free-spirited character in Gossip Girl, Blake admits to be very conscious, especially on her acting. She admits insecurity on the matter to Allure, saying: "You make your mistakes on a bigger screen for everyone to see. I'd look at what we shot on a day and it was like, "Oh, gosh, I'm terrible."

Rumors that she intends to leave Gossip Girl might just be riped with the truth as Blake admits that she plans to expand beyond her acting career. She apparently wants to open a bakery and a Southern restaurant.

"I want to have a brunch place, a bakery, and a Southern restaurant - because my family's from Georgia - and then I want a place that is all-over-the-world cuisine," said Blake.

"I take a cooking class everywhere I travel. I find it's the best way to get to know a culture. It's what people bring to the family every day, what they break bread over - it's a very intimate thing."
