One of Gossip Girl's lead actors and original cast, Chace Crawford, has recently been asked whether he thinks a Gossip Girl movie is likely to happen. Read on to find out what he thinks.

Meanwhile, The CW has officially announced that Gossip Girl is bidding adieu next year on American television. In fact, the network has lined up another teen drama: "The Carrie Diaries."

'Carrie' in the title, refers to no other than Carrie Bradshaw of the Sex and the City. Anna Sophia Robb (Race to Witch Mountain) has been cast to play the role of young Bradshaw.

For his part, Crawford claims the thought of Gossip Girl making it into the big screen has not crossed his mind.

In an interview with E! Online for the comedy film, "What to Expect When You're Expecting," Crawford voiced out his thoughts.

"I don't know if I want that, or do not want that." said the actor.

Having been asked the same question recently, GG's Nate Archibald said it occurred to him a film version could be weird.

"It had never even crossed my mind so it was like, that's weird. I don't know what the logistics would be on that. I would imagine it's a long shot. Who knows?"

Asked for the kind of ending that he wishes for Gossip Girl, Crawford said he would like to be a part of an explosive ending. And he meant that literally.

Crawford fancies a series farewell "like the end of Die Hard... just walking away from an exploding helicopter."

"When I heard Anna Kendrick was doing the role I was thrilled and wanted to work with her... The storyline was a little bit heavier than the rest of them, and I thought it would be great to work with her and sure enough it was. It was phenomenal." said Crawford when asked about his co-stars on his latest film.
