True Blood star Ryan Kwanten is on the cover of GQStyle, the new-add on to GQ Australia.

The 33-year-old actor is featured in the biennial issue "Man Power: The Australian Male Comes of Age."

In the September issue, the Australian actor talks about how much he likes playing Jason Stackhouse in the True Blood vampire series, telling GQStyle that portraying Sookie Stackhouse's brother is "liberating."

"Jason, whether you call it lack of thought or willpower, he's one of these guys, and we all know one, who totally acts in the spur of the moment," Ryan Kwanten tells GQStyle.

"He has no real regard for the consequences of what may happen. It is really liberating to play a character like [Jason] because I would stop at the edge of a cliff and think 'Whoa'. He'd just jump off."

Unlike the character, Ryan Kwanten, who had reprised his role in True Blood Season 3, said he differs from Jason because "he thinks too much."

"My brain is forever coming up with these options. Maybe I could do it this way or that way," Kwanten said.

The GQStyle featuring Ryan Kwanten on the cover is available on the stands today. It is the new add-on to GQ Australia and will be published biannually in September and March. The magazine is aimed at men of any age "who want to broaden their style horizons."

On their website, GQ Australia said "we're determined to deliver an authoritative guide to men's fashion and grooming with a comprehensive overview of the season's trends."
