The odds are definitely in Taylor Swift's favor tonight. After parading through a lot of social issues of which include the so-called "serial dating" and internet hate, Swift is finally out of the rut. All thanks to the big win at the Grammy Awards 2013, Swift has won her first award of the year.

Country crooner, Swift has finally nabbed the golden gramophones - once again. After being in a rut since the beginning of the year all thanks to the famous "Haylor" split, Swift has finally regained her composure with her first win this year.

At the Grammy Awards 2013, Swift won the award for "Best Song Written for Visual Media." The song "Safe & Sound" which tells the haunting dark tale of "The Hunger Games" was the reason for the win. Ironically, Swift managed to look genuinely surprised as she took to the stage to receive her award. The singer even took to Twitter to announce the big win.

"WE JUST WON A GRAMMY FOR SAFE AND SOUND!!!!!!!!!!" tweeted Swift.

Joining Swift on the stage was Civil Wars who also took part in the song "Safe and Sound." It was Joy Williams who gave the most memorable and cutest speech. Williams thanked her seven-month old baby boy named Miles who had also joined Williams on stage last year - in her belly.

Swift's big win at the Grammy Awards 2013 wasn't the only event that called for celebration. Brushing rumors and scandals aside, Swift started the show with her rocking performance of "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together." Well, Swift's performance proves that no matter where she is in the world, she knows how to put on a great show contrary to her initial statement earlier.

"Opening up the Grammys is something I've never done before, something I never dreamed I'd get to do," said Swift during the red carpet interview with E! Online.

Hopefully, this won't be the only award Swift manages to take home tonight. The song "Safe & Sound" is also nominated for Best Country Duo or Group Performance.

"I'm fine with one, but if they want to give me more, I'm totally cool with that, too!" said Swift.
