After much speculation, it's now confirmed that Beyonce and Jay-Z are indeed performing at this year's Grammy Awards.

TV network CBS quietly confirms that the power couple are certainly appearing onstage at the Grammy Awards happening at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Jan. 27 (Australian Time). And just a few moments after the news broke out, Us Magazine confirms that Mr. and Mrs. Carter are performing together.

The reps from the Grammys are yet to confirm as to what tracks Bey and Jay-Z will perform, but they are sure to join the likes of Lorde, Taylor Swift, Sara Bareilles, Pink, Katy Perry and Daft Punk in the lineup of performers for Music's Biggest Night.

The news of the couple's Grammy appearance came shortly after Beyonce's performance for First Lady Michelle Obama's 50th birthday party. This will mark her first televised appearance since the surprise launch of her visual album last month. Jay-Z, on the other hand, is heading for the show for nine Grammy nominations, including Best Pop Duo/Group Performance and Best Rap Album.

Meanwhile, Bey and daughter Blue Ivy returned to New York after performing for Mrs. Obama's birthday bash at the White House. While mum performs for the crowd wearing a sparkly mini-dress by Randi Rahm, Blue Ivy went ahead and made friends with the Obamas's dog Sunny.

On the other hand, Madonna was previously reported to be included in the roster of Grammy performers, though her name is not yet posted on the official list. According to a previous Us Magazine report, Madge will "provide guest vocals during a performance from one of the evening's nominees."

Though it is yet to be confirmed if Madonna and Beyonce will be together onstage, they have expressed support and admiration towards each other. Bey, for her part, had once said that she wanted to follow Madge's footsteps and "be a powerhouse and have my own empire."

Madonna, on the other hand, watched Beyonce's concert at the Barclays Center in New York City, and even posted a photo of the 'Single Ladies' singer kissing Madge's son Mercy James over her Instagram account.
