‘Grand Theft Auto V’ Online update to send players racing through alternate dimensions; Fans create ‘Red Dead Redemption’ in ‘GTA 5’
Rockstar Games is gearing up for another “Grand Theft Auto V” Online update that will add a new car and a bunch of new elements to the Stunt Race Creator. This will allow players to devise the craziest of tracks in the game.
The developer already expanded “GTA Online” Stunt Races last week via the “Cunning Stunts: Special Vehicle Circuit” pack. Twenty new stunt races have been added along with the ability to burn rubber as the Rocket Voltic, Ruiner 2000 and Blazer Aqua cars. While fans may ask Rockstar why it’s not building a standalone game, such as “GTA 6,” they are also pleased with the regular updates that are keeping them busy. Moreover, all these are coming free. Hence, no one’s complaining. Playstation.Blog has discussed details about the new car, Hijak Ruston and Stunt Races.
“Stripped down and drenched in carbon fiber, the Hijak Ruston is a lightweight and pint-sized packet of fury. It might not win any safety awards, but the Ruston’s low profile gets you as close to the tarmac as you’re ever going to want to be, so nestle in and brace yourself for some tight turns and even tighter clenches. A unique and elegant addition to the Sports class, the Hijak Ruston is now available in GTA Online at Legendary Motorsport,” writes the blog.
Rockstar is also adding new Props that have been designed to highlight special abilities of vehicles, such as Hurdles, Boost Refills, and Explosive Crates. The brand new psychedelic Stunt Tubes will send players racing through alternate dimensions. Meanwhile, fans have created “Red Dead Redemption” in “GTA 5.” A group of gamers are trying to get the original version of Xbox 360 map working in “GTA 5” PC version. This fan mod is being called “Red Dead Redemption V,” reports Metro.
“Red Dead Redemption” was never released on PC and its successor hasn’t also been confirmed for PC. Hence, it may be possible that like “GTA V,” it’s not going to be released until a year or so. The game will have a multiplayer component like “GTA Online.” Rockstar generally never allows mods, though it doesn’t say anything as long as the mods are not run on “GTA Online” servers. “Grand Theft Auto 5” was released more than three years ago and it has regularly made it to the top-selling charts.
It is still a massively popular game that has shipped more than 75 million copies. Rockstar is also busy launching the “Red Dead Redemption 2” and that’s why it has remained totally silent on “Grand Theft Auto 6.”
