Grant Davies, the former co-director and dance teacher of RG Dance Studio, did not show up on July 17 at the Burwood Local Court to face the total of 47 child sex charges filed against him. The Sydney dance teacher was slammed with additional charges after more students stepped forward to attest the sexual and indecent assault at the dance studio.

"A high-profile Sydney dance teacher accused of taking hundreds of naked photographs of female students and grooming them for sex has been charged with an extra 37 child sex offences," the police stated. The additional charges that were officially filed on Tuesday comprised of 14 counts of aggravated sexual assault, 18 counts of aggravated indecent assault and 4 counts of aggravated acts of indecency.

The police prosecutors hold the piles of evidence in green folders including the 60-page statement from one of the victims and the categorised photographs of naked girls that the accused dance teacher took between 2004 and 2013. The police further asserted that the victims were between 9 and 14 years old when the offences occurred.

Grant Davies was previously arrested last May 17 at a North Strathfield bowling alley with a series of child sex and grooming charges. Grant's arrest came after his wife, Lisa Ricketts, discovered inappropriate messages that he sent to a girl.

Lisa decided to make a copy of the messages and take her husband's laptop to the police. "Detectives examined the computer and allegedly found a large number of child-abuse materials, as well as evidence of child grooming," a spokesman of the NSW Police revealed.

Rebecca Davies, Grant's sister and studio co-director, shut down the RG Dance Studio a week after the arrest of her brother. Then, she sent an email to the parents to notify them that the establishment is no longer available due to the numerous clients that backed out amidst the allegations.

Grant Davies appeared at the Burwood Local Court Thursday morning to face the charges without applying for bail and the case was postponed until September 9. The Burwood police officers are currently asking the public to help with their investigation if they have any information about the case.
