Ryan Reynolds appears on the cover of GQ Magazine's October 2010 issue. In his interview for GQ, Reynolds talks about his first movie role as Van Wilder, his marriage to Hollywood actress Scarlett Johanson and spending two weeks in a coffin for the the Sundance screened Buried.

Reynolds said that portraying Van Wilder in the National Lampoon movie made him the party guy, claiming that since then people had been offering him free shots at the bar.

"I would walk into a bar and people would start lining up the shots. You could sum up my career at that point as a free shot at a bar," Reynolds claimed.

"I know it affected me more than I'm revealing, because I know that I went years without even saying the words 'Van Wilder.' Even now, when I say it, it's a bit of a big moment for me."

On spending two weeks on a coffin for Buried, Reynolds said that the experience was "a state of emotional distress."

"I'll never, ever in my life complain on a set again after being on that set. Sixteen, seventeen days of doing that," said the Green Lantern actor.

On a lighter note, Ryan Reynolds talks about how things had changed for him since he married one of Hollywood's sexiest stars. Rya admits he is a little more guarded and wary that his marriage would turn into a soap opera.

"Things change when you get married in general. But in terms of being a couple that's in a public situation and speculated about and all that nonsense, it's changed a little bit," admits Ryan.

"I'm a little more guarded, I think. I'm a little bit more wary of having my relationship turning into a soap opera. I've just unilaterally not addressed it. That's kind of been the fail-safe for me."

The Canadian actor is set to play the titular role in the film adaptation of Green Lantern which will be released on June next year. For more information, visit the Ryan Reynolds feature at GQ.
