Gregory Isaacs, famous reggae musician, dies at 59
Famous reggae musician Gregory Isaacs died in London. He was 59.
Isaacs is known for the song "Night Nurse." The singer suffered from lung cancer and recently had to cancel performances.
At the height of his career, Isaacs had worked together with the likes of King Tubby and Lee Scratch Perry . Isaacs had brought out numerous albums. Most recently, he appeared in 2008 "Brand New Me," which was nominated for a Grammy.
The British pop band Simply Red rendered a cover of Isaac's most popular song "Night Nurse." New York Times' Milo Miles described Isaacs as "the most exquisite vocalist in reggae."
His son, Kevin Issacs, posted on his Twitter account about his father Gregory Isaac's death: "R.I.P Dad, you're a great father to me and my Idol.that's all I can say for now,I'm hurt.My dad just died.give thanks to all his supporters."
