Grey’s Anatomy: Sandra Oh “Extremely Grateful” for Season 8
Big changes begin for the former Lexie Grey
Grey's Anatomy Season 8 is the best season in the series so far, as far as Sandra Oh is concerned. What could be waiting for her in Season 9?
The actress who plays the steely strong and forthright Cristina Yang thinks the last season has given her the richest material yet in the show's eight years.
"I'm super-proud of this year. Having been on a show eight years, for me to have the richest storyline now, I'm extremely grateful," Oh told THR.
After everything that Cristina has gone through in Season 8, will she finally get to bag an Emmy?
Cristina Yang and Owen Hunt: What happens next?
She aborted her pregnancy. He gave her the task of operating on her mentor's husband. She bypassed his authority and insulted him to protect her mentor's pride. They had a big fight at a small exclusive party. They tried couple's therapy. He cheated on her. They decided to live separately. She told him she will leave Seattle Grace. She has yet to learn that her mentor is leaving Seattle Grace. Will she decide to stay as her replacement as head of the department? How long will it take before she gets rescued from the plane crash site?
Cristina Yang had a difficult year, indeed. But Owen Hunt will be on his way.
In a recent interview, Kevin McKidd (Hunt) said he would make Hunt dive from the sky to the mountains to save Cristina if things were up to him. Grey's fans following the Yang-Hunt romance would be so happy and not at all completely surprised if these two could sort things out and just stay together.
Kepner and Avery to go strong?
Moving to a budding romance in the series, how will April Kepner (Sarah Drew) find a way to stay at Seattle Grace? Will the chief of Surgery call her back in view of Lexie Grey's death?
Kepner and Jackson Avery (Jesse Williams) have been rediscovering each other by the time Grey's Anatomy Season 8 drew to a close. Is there a romantic future for these "friends with benefits?"
Chyler Leigh sports a new 'do
After her Grey's Anatomy graduation, Chyler Leigh (Lexie Grey) has chopped off much of her hair. Women who begin a new chapter do this. They go for a new hairstyle to signal an emerging new chapter, because they are moving on.
Leigh's new 'do was seen last week at The Thirst Project's third annual gala in Los Angeles. She worked the red carpet with hubby Nathan West.
