Grey's Anatomy Season 10: Beginning of Endings; Calzona, Crowen Hopes and Wishes; Will Hilarie Burton Return?
Grey's Anatomy Season 10 is not being treated by writers as the last season of the series. But after 10 years, the ABC medical drama could be nearing its end. What are the fans hoping and wishing for the couples they are shipping -- Calzona, Crowen, Jolex, Japril, and MerDer? Will Hilarie Burton come back for more dalliance with Arizona?
Calzona's relationship is in turmoil, but fans and shippers are hoping they could overcome their problems. Hilarie Burton's Lauren Boswell may or may not return for Grey's Anatomy Season 10, but she has already sparked enough damage as it is. There are still insufficient spoilers when it comes to Burton's return, but it is likely the series will pick up where it left off - on the heels of a superstorm. Callie Torres says she has lost Arizona Robbins. Arizona is unable to forgive her wife for being instrumental to the amputation of her leg. Is there a room for reconciliation for them?
What does Hilarie Burton think of her Lauren character? "I hope that I'm portraying Lauren in a way that she's engaging and fun, and that it makes Arizona's decision hard. If I came in and played a sleazy character, it would make Arizona look kind of flip, to keep flirting back. But by coming in and trying to be someone who is supportive and in awe of her, and is everything that maybe she's lacked in her other relationship, I want to be able to justify her character's decision," the White Collar actress tells TV Line.
Owen cheated on Cristina with a patient's family/friend. It was a clear-cut one night stand, something Owen couldn't have done if he were in his right mind. But he wasn't. Neither was Arizona. But the difference is, Grey's showrunners picked a popular actress to play the seductress this time. There must be a plan to keep Lauren for a couple more episodes.
Speaking of Crowen, or Cristina and Owen, they are made for each other, says a Grey's Anatomy fan on a Twitter Q&A with one of Shondaland's writers.
Season 10 of @GreysABC is gonna be great RT "@YangAndHuntMFEO: @danbucatinsky Can we see Cristina and Owen being each others person in S10?"
— Dan Bucatinsky (@danbucatinsky) June 23, 2013
Dan Bucatinsky of Shondaland's Scandal (actor) and Grey's Anatomy (writer) did not directly answer Twitter user @YangAndHuntMFEO, but he did say Season 10 will be great. So fans should hang on to that.
Grey's Anatomy Season 10 is a lot like Season 8 for the production team: They have no idea whether there will be contract renewals among the cast. Richard Webber's life hangs in the balance. When this paternal character dies, fans would know the end is definitely near. Chief Webber opened the door to the interns. His most important student, Miranda Bailey, has just overcome a major career situation. His kind-of daughter, Meredith Grey, has just given birth and named it after Bailey. The circle of life is complete for these core characters. Webber can go, the series could end soon.
