‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Season 11 Episode 8 ‘Risk’ Spoilers: Find Out What Happens In Explosive Winter/Midseason Finale

"Grey's Anatomy" Season 11 has reached its Midseason or Winter Finale. ABC's long-running medical drama is set to feature an explosive Episode 8 titled "Risk." Fans won't want to miss a moment as things take an interesting turn in the upcoming segment that focuses on popular characters such as Meredith, Derek, April, Jackson, Maggie and more. In the last aired episode, some dark secret about a doctor's past were unraveled. A family of a patient recognises Amelia and declares that she was involved in substance abuse. They demanded for a different doctor, leaving Amelia's image tarnished in the hospital. The only person who comforts her during this hard time is Richard. Derek has been quite upset about Amelia taking over the HOD position of neurosurgery department. His resentment against his sister forces to him to tell on her.

Elsewhere, Meredith and Maggie take over the case of a couple who got badly injured while attempting to escape fire in the building. Meanwhile, Arizona finds herself in a difficult situation where she is forced to take a quick decision in the absence of Dr. Herman. Though Arizona is able to save the baby, she fails to keep the mother alive.

Jo performs her first solo surgery. Before entering the OR she passes comments on Bailey which is overheard by her. Later, Owen addresses the issue about Amelia's sobriety in a board meeting wherein Derek realises that his words may have an adverse effect on his sister's career. He acknowledges his mistake and comes clean. He waits for his sister to come home and have a little heart-to-heart chat. He confesses that he has hit the rock bottom while coping up with his life.

Moving on to "Grey's Anatomy" Season 11 Episode 8 "Risk," it seems Meredith and Derek's relationship has a hit a snag once again. The network has released a brief synopsis on the Winter/ Midseason finale segment of the show, teasing exciting spoilers (as published on Hypable.). Based on the episode description it can be said that it is Meredith and Maggie versus Derek this week.

An important medical case arrives at the Grey Sloan Hospital being handled by Derek, Meredith and Maggie at the same time. Meredith and Maggie hold the same opinion about the method to be used to treat the patient. Meanwhile, Derek has his own idea which differs greatly from that of Meredith and Maggie. The difference of opinion leads to bigger issues between the couple. The two butt heads and get involved in a major confrontation.

Furthermore, Callie finds herself in a difficult position at work when she "feels responsible" for one of her "veterans" being "pushed too far." Elsewhere in the hospital, one of the doctor's routine procedures leads to a shocking discovery and "devastating diagnosis." The aforementioned website has also published some photos from the upcoming segment giving a glimpse at the "Grey's Anatomy" Season 11 Episode 8 "Risk."

A promo video (published on YouTube.com by Best Promos TV) shows heavily pregnant April undergoing routine checkup and ultrasound being conducted by Jackson's ex Stephanie. April freaks out when Stephanie accidentally reveals the sex of her child. However, that's not all for her to be concerned about. The worrying look on Stephanie's face suggests that there could be something wrong with her baby. But what happens actually remains to be seen. Another promo video (as published on YouTube.com by Television Promos) shows Stephanie talking about it to Arizona.
