"Grey's Anatomy" Season 11, Episode 9, airs Jan. 29 on ABC, according to the network's website. While waiting, fans are getting restless over several burning questions in mind. The "Japril baby" situation is among the big issues. The Meredith-Derek conflict is making some fans worry that Patrick Dempsey could be leaving the series. Meanwhile, Calzona shippers fear a definitive ending.

Grey's Anatomy Season 11 is on hiatus on ABC, but the stars and crew are not resting. Jessica Capshaw, who plays Arizona Robbins, has recently updated her Twitter followers that Episode 9 has just been filmed. It was directed by Debbie Allen. (See the tweet below.)

Incidentally, Ms Allen plays Jackson Avery's (Jesse Williams) mother on Grey's Anatomy. Jackson and April's baby have a rare bone condition that could be fatal. Greys 11x9 is expected to show Edwards (Jerrika Hinton) revealing the painful truth to Jackson.

Catherine Avery (Allen) has been a supportive mother-in-law to April Kepner (Sarah Drew). If Ms Allen guest stars for the Japril baby condition, she is expected to deliver some compelling lines for the avid fans of the series created by Shonda Rhimes.

Is Patrick Dempsey leaving Grey's Anatomy?

TV Guide reported in January 2014 that both Ellen Pompeo and Patrick Dempsey have "signed new two-year deals" with ABC. They play Drs Meredith Grey and Derek Shepherd (MerDer to sfans/shippers), respectively. However, Dempsey has recently sparked fears of leaving the series before the end of Grey's Anatomy Season 11.

In an interview with the Press Herald, Dempsey has hinted at leaving Grey's Anatomy "very soon." The actor's complete quote on the matter was not printed, but due to the current MerDer situation, "very soon" carries a certain weight to many fans.

Shonda Rhimes has earlier said Grey's Anatomy Season 11 is going to be Meredith-centric, implying big changes will happen to the central character of the medical drama. It remains to be seen whether the changes include a lasting MerDer separation.

What happens next to Calzona in Grey's Anatomy Season 11?

Jessica Capshaw is not tweeting Calzona spoilers, but she has informed her followers that Grey's Anatomy Season 11, Episode 9 was filmed in early November.

In Episode 8 ("Risk"), Callie (Sara Ramirez) and Arizona sit down to talk for a minute and comfort each other amidst hospital issues. But then Callie says something that seems to convince Arizona they are really headed into a lasting separation.

Grey's Anatomy Season 11, Episode 9 is titled "Where Do we Go From Here" according to TV spoiler reports. This could be a question linked to a possible Calzona ending.
